Medicom is awarded a Børsen Gazelle 2016 - second year in a row

The Danish financial business paper Børsen have awarded the yearly growth award “Børsen Gazelle 2016” to Medicom. This is the second year in a row as Medicom was also awarded a Gazelle in 2015. The award is given to Danish companies who have delivered significant financial growth over the last 4 years period. “We are extremely proud to be awarded a Børsen Gazelle again in 2016 - especially as this reinforces our continued growth story"”, states President of Medicom Morten Nielsen. “This is only possible because of a continued and focused team effort and I am very proud of Team Medicom”, continues Morten Nielsen.

Bang & Olufsen Medicom have established a new office in Shanghai, China from 2. January 2014. This is a step in executing on our market expansion strategy for the emerging Chinese high-end market for differentiated and advanced Drug Delivery Devices. The office is located at the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center, and is established in cooperation with innovation Center Denmark, which is a part of the Trade Council under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

The office commenced operations from 2'nd of January, 2014.

Bang & Olufsen Medicom signs deal with Boehringer Ingelheim

Bang & Olufsen Medicom has entered into agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim regarding development of an innovative device based on Bang & Olufsen Medicom’s patented flow monitoring technology. In the spirit of this collaboration the two companies will contribute according to their vast expertise and experience within the respiratory field.

Separate from this agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim, Bang & Olufsen Medicom’s patented flow monitoring technology has previously been leveraged in a number of projects with pharmaceutical clients as a means to non-invasively monitor patient inhalation effort. Particularly in respiratory pharmacokinetic equivalence studies, the actual patient inhalation performance information provides a valuable insight into patient influence on drug uptake.

Bang & Olufsen Medicom has signed a new low-volume Manufacturing and Supply agreement with a leading pharmaceutical company for an advanced and highly differentiated electronic auto injector device. Under the terms of the agreement, Bang & Olufsen Medicom will be the legal manufacturer of the device in key markets and the exclusive supplier of the device worldwide. The advanced electronic auto injector is developed by Bang & Olufsen Medicom who retains certain rights to the technology, and the new agreement confirms the value of Bang & Olufsen Medicom's "Integrated Service Model" providing low-volume manufacturing services to its high-end innovation services.

The innovative drug delivery device company Bang & Olufsen Medicom have signed a multimillion Euro device development agreement with a leading pharmaceutical company. The agreement covers a dual-device strategy including both a design-enhanced injector and an intelligent and highly differentiated electronic auto-injector prepared for wireless data communication.

The devices are based on Bang & Olufsen Medicom innovative injection technology accelerators and Bang & Olufsen Medicom will retain the global rights to the technologies outside the client field of operation. The agreement furthermore includes an option for Bang & Olufsen Medicom to manufacture the electronic auto-injector as this fits the low-volume profile of Bang & Olufsen Medicom and as the seamless integration of services is valuable for the client.

This is yet another significant commercial milestone for Bang & Olufsen Medicom and this will reinforce the company's position as a leading innovator within advanced solutions for injectable drugs.

Bang & Olufsen Medicom has entered into a new significant Licensing & Development agreement with a leading pharmaceutical company regarding development and deployment of a new software and service solution based on wireless communication with an electronic auto-injector. The software solution allows patients to manage their therapy and share data with caregivers, healthcare professionals and healthcare payers with the purpose of increasing compliance and outcome of specific drug therapy. The software solution will be available on several computer and mobile platforms to enable mobility and portability. The agreement builds upon Bang & Olufsen Medicom's technology accelerators within Connectivity and Bang & Olufsen Medicom will retain rights to the licensed technology in a wide range of therapeutic areas. Bang & Olufsen Medicom will at the same time become the Legal Manufacturer of the software solution in the EU and US.
